What an exciting start. So, after a few sleepless nights we had to sleep less for a few more! Thanks to the overwhelming response we got. Thank you to everyone who has signed up and those who have participated in our twitter chat on Saturday. I think we will make it a regular activity to keep the discussion going.

It was great to see the eagerness of so many of our youth who really do share our dream! Plus, the sceptics we bumped into, who think its yet another random attempt to replicate Silicon Valley or another hype for a few business plan workshops. I am sure this promises to be a healthy debate as we move on..

From our twitter chat, the vision of Peshawar 2.0 is clear now. This is a citizen/youth-led initiative aiming to pull together, empower and build our own startup community here in Peshawar. The focus here is on people – from college students in the City with burning ideas to senior professionals and seasoned entrepreneurs, both in the country and abroad. Peshawar 2.0, our dream city, will then be the result of this merger between the talent and passion of our youth who want to change Peshawar for the better and the experiences, networks and resources of the already accomplished ones who want to give back.

I will expand on each component in the following posts. For now, start jotting down those creative ideas that spark when you spot a problem around you. Who knows one of them turns out to be the next billion-dollar giant!
